3 different types of jewellery platings!

There are various types of plating in jewellery, and it can be confusing to know which plating is good or what is the best type of plating for you. We’ve written this blog to make that decision easy for you, help you better understand the different types of plating available, and choose what works best for you!

1. Rhodium Plating

925 Sterling Silver, which is the metal all of our jewellery is made of, tends to tarnish easily when exposed to moisture. To prevent your jewellery from tarnishing, we plate our pieces with rhodium. We use rhodium plating for our products as it makes them more durable and helps it retain its lustre. It also helps the products from getting any scratches or dents.

2. Gold Plating

Usually, gold plating on any metal does not last long, tarnishes easily and it can even irritate sensitive skin. We at Eve Jewellery, go the extra mile to double plate our jewellery with copper and then gold to ensure the does not tarnish. The double plating also helps maintaining the vibrant gold glow for longer.

3. Rose Gold Plating

For our rose gold colour, we plate our base 925 Sterling Silver pieces with copper to give it the perfect rose gold finish. This plating is lasting and gives the elegant finish.
