The Foolproof Guide to Identifying Pure Silver!

Sterling Silver Jewellery has always been in trend, however, there are always questions or worries regarding not only the quality but also the purity of the silver used. Here, we are going to show you one of the the simplest, easiest, and hassle free method for checking the purity of any 925 Sterling Silver piece. (P.S. You don't need any materials/equipment.)

All you have to do is Look For Authentication Hallmarks!

Your first move when you suspect something is made from Silver, would be to check for markings like a stamp or hallmark. Most pieces of 925 Sterling Silver Jewellery have 925 stamped (engraved/marked) onto them by the manufacturers themselves. Other stamps might be of '900' or '800' and they all indicate the purity of the silver.

Since Silver is a soft metal, to make it suitable to be used in Jewellery it has to be mixed with some other metals. Most Sterling Silver jewellery is made with 92.5% silver and 7.5% of some other metals to ensure that the jewellery is sturdy and suitable for daily wear. Here is an example of the Authentication Hallmark!

All jewellery pieces of Eve Jewellery are made of 925 Sterling Silver and hence, have 925 stamped onto them to represent the same. On dainty and delicate silver pieces, the stamp can be extremely tiny, so be sure to check properly. Some examples of this have been shown below!
